The only difference is the connector.
The A series scopes have a BNC+ connector which is capable of probe recognizition and power supply. This opens up opportunity for new probes like a resistance probe and temperature sensor as well as allowing compatible current probes to be powered by the scope and controlled by the software for range and zeroing.
BNC+ probes can only be used on a scope with BNC+ connectors, however, a BNC+ scope and also use standard BNC probes.
