"pc requirements", states that 2 USB ports are required. Why are 2 needed?

My tablet only has 1 USB port, and I am wondering if the scan tool will work or not?

1 USB port is enough for the AutoEnginuity scan tool.

We listed 2 ports because you can never have enough USB ports just in case you want to connect something else to the PC while using the AE tool.
