For the Fluke 97 you should use a test lead that uses an insulated BNC designed to work with Fluke 90-series scopes.

Then go to the selection for "Select your Scope or Connector:" and select Fluke 90- or Connector: BNC Fluke-Style.
Most test leads that use a metal BNC do not make a good connection to the plastic BNC on the Fluke 90's, so ensure a good connection use a BNC Fluke-Style.
