You could purchase the subscription for AESwave, but it will not change the point of service should you need to warranty the tool. If the tool originated from China, you still cannot send it to Autel US for repairs.
There have been some instances were a tool would not accept the update. I would suggest emailing the serial number to support@aeswae.com and we can confirm that there will not be any outstanding problems before you spend the money.
