If circuit 30 is dead, can power be added to circuit 87 from an external source to test the remining circuit?
Can I add fused battery power to the 87 circuit through one of the top banana connections in the case the 30 circuit has no power. As in testing an AC Clutch. Remove the relay plug this tool in operate switch and see no power is supplied to relay. So add a fused link to the top test port of the tool to feed the 30 circuit with power so when the switch is activated it would pull power from the external source and connect it to the 87 circuit causing the AC Clutch to engage or not engage or blow the fuse due to a short in the clutch windings or wire short to ground.

Yes, you can add power or ground to the tool at any pin for testing purposes. The unit has a built in 15amp circuit breaker. If Pin 30 is open, you could add direct battery power and use the switch to toggle the circuit.
