Battery maintainer ??
Is it necessary to use battery maintainer while flashing using this device or cardaq plus ??

It some cases, Yes. Some vehicles require a minimum voltage (usually about 13.4V) in order to begin the flash process. Other vehicles may require up to 14V, but in all cases it is highly recommended that you have a battery maintainer to avoid errors during the writing procedure which can lead to bricked modules.
