This would be bought for a shop. Not for working on 1 type of Y/M/M/E. Not looking to pin down an answer to a specific build. Basically they should know if it is capable of doing what was asked. Mostly U.S. vehicles from the big 3 and from 2001 up.

One would need to know what Y/M/M/E of the vehicle in question. Stating that the scan tool does or does not provide that data or bi-directional control would be a an assumption at best without that information.
