The AES Primary Ignition Probe for the uScope is basically an attenuator.
It serves the same function as the Pico 10:1 Attenuator (AES# pt-TA197).
Use a 10:1 whenever you expect the signal to be measured will exceed the scope's max volt input.
For example, if the signal has a 400V spike and the scope has a 200V max input, use the 10:1 to knock the signal down to 40V (400v / 10). Remember to select the scope's 10:1 setting so that the on screen measurements will display as 400V and not 40V.
