FMP is less expensive than IDS ($800/year vs ~$40/event).
If you have the time, it might worth a try, but will probably be difficult.
According to the Ford site: The FMP software will not function on a system with IDS software previously installed.
The VCM (i and II) are not approved J-devices, but that does not mean they won't work as a J-device.
