Let us know the scope you are using, the scope setup, and the MMY, Engine that you are connecting to. This video might help:
Assuming the COP paddle and lead are not damaged it should give you a good signal as long as there is a signal to get. Unlike the other two COP Probes, the yellow paddle is not insulated and has a large surface, ideal for capturing a signal.
But some systems are so well electrically insulated there is not a lot to capture. To capture secondary signals from these systems you can use the COP HT Extension Cables with the clamp from the AES Universal Secondary kit.
