Does this mean the enhanced scantool functions will not work unless updated yearly?,.

Does it mean if you choose to not update it after the first year that the enhanced scantool will no longer work until it is updated to the most current version? I.E.,..the enhanced functioned scantool only works for a year at which time it MUST be updated?

The software does not time out and it does not lock out the enhanced functions after your free subscription period has expired. The tool will continue to work with all the functions.
