I am about to buy a CarDAQ, dedicated laptop for BMWs?
One of the techs said we should use a dedicated laptop to program BMWs. We presently have a laptop and 2 desktops in the shop.
Should i get a new laptop or would a used one with everything deleted be okay?

It will certainly make life easier as you limit the issues of driver and Java conflicts. Set up a dedicated PC for BMW ISTA-ISTA/P and also do yourself a favor by creating a PowerPoint of the step-by-step process of using ISTA-ISTA/P. Also, download and follow (TO THE LETTER) the BMW document (user guide) off their website.
